CLASSIFICATION OF H1-RECEPTOR ANTAGONIST/ANTI-HISTAMINES

[I]FIRST GENERATION ANT-IHISTAMINES(CLASSICAL ANTI-HISTAMINES)

1.Aminoalkyl ethers (Ethanolamines):-

eg: Diphenhydramine HCL, Dimenhydrinate, doxylamine succinate, Clemostine Fumarate, Diphenyl Pyraline HCL

2.Ethylene diamines:-

eg: Tripelennamine HCL

3. Piperazines(Cyclidines):-

eg: Chlorocyclizine HCL, Meclizine HCL, Buclizine HCL

4. Propylamines(Monoamino Propyl derivatives):-

eg: Pheniramine maleate, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Triprolidine HCL, Phenindamine tartarate

5.Phenothiazines:-

eg: Promethazine, Trimeprazine tartarate

6.Dibenzocycloheptenes & Dibenzocycloheptanes:-

eg: Cyproheptadine, azatadine Maleate
